Sixty-eight people from our class participated in the 1998 Reunion week-end. Many of them are shown in the photo above. All who attended said they had such a super week-end that they would be sure to be back for our 25th.
The first event of the week-end was the Obstacle Course, and it was great (although obstacle courses are never are as tough as the one we did... did you know that the day that those of us at RMC did the course, the day set a record low temperature?) After the Obstacle Course, we met for a meet and greet at the Tin Nan Og pub, a pub opened a few years ago near City Hall. Many went for Hoagies afterwards.
The Saturday morning parade was very well done. A few of us were invited to make presentations to cadets during the parade. Nothing was scheduled for Saturday afternoon, allowing time to revisit old haunts with friends. The Saturday night dinner/dance was nicely done. Round tables and candle light made for a nice atmosphere, and the table service was superb. And the food was excellent, too!
Many of us marched in the Ex-Cadet Parade on Sunday morning. For most, it was the first time we had participated in the Parade, and it felt right to be marching behind the Pipes and Drums once again to the Arch. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to speak to many of the cadets.
